Mike S. Chiang
M.D.
Mike S. Chiang, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Urology with 30 years experience in urology practice. After attending Valdosta State College he received his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia and completed urology residency at Ohio State University in 1982. Dr. Chiang is a member of the American Urological Association and has been in private practice in Valdosta, GA since 1989.
Born in Taiwan, at the age of 16 he came to Valdosta where his father was a math professor at VSC.
After his father was diagnosed with kidney cancer and experiencing first-hand the sufferings of cancer patients and their families, he knew that urology would be his career of service. He continues to have special interest in kidney, bladder, and prostate cancers as well as male sexual function, male and female voiding dysfunction and incontinence, and stone disease. Emphasis is placed on preventative and conservative therapies.
Dr. Chiang serves as consultant for the pharmaceutical industry and has been a primary investigator for clinical research trials. He is a pioneer for newer modalities of in-office treatment for urinary incontinence offering Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (Urgent PC) and for benign prostate hyperplasia with Cooled Thermotherapy (Urologix). He specialized in minimally invasive surgical techniques including Greenlight laser, no-needle, no-scalpel vasectomy, and Extracorporal Sound Wave Lithotripsy. With his specialized training and vast experience, he is frequently requested to make presentations to medical professionals and lead educational seminars for patients on various urological topics.
Patrick M. Parker
D.O.
Patrick M. Parker, DO, is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Parker graduated from Gannon University Magna Cum Laude in Erie, PA. He subsequently attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Urology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
After completing his military commitment in 2017 he joined Dr. Chiang in private practice here in Valdosta, GA. Dr. Parker has authored several articles and has presented at national meetings. He is an active member in the Society for Government Service Urologists, American Urological Association, and American Medical Association. He has interest in treating male fertility, endourolgy and incontinence. Dr. Parker has been one of the first urologist in the region to offer a new and revolutionary treatment for BPH/enlarged prostate. The Urolift procedure is the newest, minimally invasive procedure to treat BPH and has minimal downtime and durable results.
